Creating a Custom Link Menu item

Note: A Custom Link Menu items should only be used to link to a webpage outside of your site.

Do not use a Custom Link Menu item to set a static page as your front page or to create a page for posts.

1. From the Dashboard, click Appearance and select Menus.

2. Make sure the Edit Menus tab is selected.

3. In the Custom Link area, click the expand button (downward-pointing triangle.)

4. Enter a full URL (delete the extra http:// that's already in the URL field.)

5. In the Link Text field, enter a label for the button.

6. Click Add to Menu.

7. In youre menu, position the Custom Link where you would like it to appear.

8. When finished, click Save Menu.
